
A car accident killed a man in the Appleton area early Thursday.
Officials from the Wisconsin State Patrol have reported that an 18-year-old man from Menasha was walking northbound on WIS 441 shortly before 3:00 a.m.
A 22-year-old driver from Little Chute traveling southbound struck the man with his car.
The driver was not injured, but the pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to the injuries and died.
The highway was closed for nearly three hours due to the incident.
