His boss has Greg Gard covered on that $10,000 Big Ten Conference fine for the post-game altercation with Michigan Sunday.
Athletic Director Chris McIntosh says he considers the fine from the Big Ten to be a “Wisconsin” fine and not a “Greg Gard” fine.
McIntosh says the U-W Athletic Department will pay.
He says neither Gard nor his staff had any intent to provoke or incite what took place.
The Badgers are back in action tonight in Minnesota for a Border Battle game.
This is the 199th meeting between the two programs and Wisconsin holds a narrow 100-to-98 edge.
The Badgers won the previous meeting this season 66-60 at home on January 30th.
The last time the Gophers won the Border Battle was also the last time they met in Minneapolis two years ago.
The Badgers/Gophers matchup will be aired on 107.9 FM WOMT starting at 7:00 p.m.
