Former Packers outside linebackers coach Mike Smith is joining the Vikings as that team’s pass-rushing specialist.
Smith will be reunited with former Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine.
He will also be coaching Minnesota outside linebackers.
Pettine is the Vikings’ assistant head coach now.
Smith was with the Packers for three seasons.
He’s given credit for helping veterans Preston and Za’Darius Smith maximize their production while developing Rashan Gary into a pass-rushing star of the NFL.
Jason Rebovich took his place on coach Matt LaFleur’s staff.
