Local and area high school wrestlers compete in Sectional Tournament activity today with an eye on qualifying for State next weekend.
Division-1 competitors from Manitowoc Lincoln seeing action at Oshkosh North include: 120 pounder Kaeden Niemojuski who was a first-place finisher in the regional, Gryffin Jonas –a regional champion at 285, Kade Neumann –a runnerup at 170 last weekend, Aythan Thrasher who placed 3rd at 106, Jackson Bongle –4th at 113, Oscar Estrada who was 4th at 132, and Easton Becker who qualified with a 4th at 138.
The top-2 finishers today in their respective weight classes for Division-1 and the first 3 places in Divisions 2 and 3 advance to the WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison.
