Random Lake School Superintendent Michael Trimberger
Two students fell ill in Random Lake Middle School and were taken to the hospital after baked goods were consumed, suspected to contain an illegal substance.
Superintendent Michael Trimberger took to social media earlier this week to make parents aware of the Wednesday morning incident. He noted the situation is being investigated by authorities, but that the district “suspects the consumed baked goods possibly contained an illegal substance.”
Trimberger used the incident to advise parents to remind their children “about the importance of asking questions before consuming anything that is not sealed or served by a trusted adult.”
The baked goods causing all of the trouble were brought from home by a student, according to the district’s social media post.
