Nine employees at Manitowoc-based Ascend Services are now able to help those with special abilities just a little bit better.
Ascend Services has announced that the nine workers graduated from the Inspiring Leadership Series Training, which is put on by Lakeshore Technical College’s Workforce Solutions program.
The class covered topics such as Introduction to Servant Leadership, Basic Leadership Principles, Ensuring a Respectful Workplace, Assertive Communication, and several others.
Participants in the training were also required to read the book, “The Servant” by James C. Hunter, which is a companion resource to the training.
Deanna Genske, the Executive Director of Ascend said of the program, “By dedicating resources and time toward employees’ personal development, leaders can improve retention rates and make their workplaces more desirable.”
