Officials would like people to continue to wear masks in confined spaces, but the Dane County mask mandate is going to end on March 1st.
A spokesperson for Public Health Madison and Dane County says health officials have no plans to issue a new emergency order.
Falling numbers of new COVID-19 cases are given as the reason to let the mandate expire.
The seven-day rolling average was almost 1,500 on January 12th and it is down to 340 in the latest report.
