The Wisconsin women’s basketball team made history when it came from behind to beat the Purdue Boilermakers 54-52 Sunday.
The Badgers (7-17, 4-10 B1G) had trailed Purdue by 22 points, 37-15, early in the third period.
The visitors had jumped out to a 17-2 lead after one period at the Kohl Center.
Wisconsin claimed its first lead at 49-47 without a little over two minutes left.
After hitting just 15 percent of their shots in the first half, the Badgers warmed up and connected on 58 percent in the last two periods.
Julie Pospisilova scored 15 points and Katie Nelson handed out eight assists.
The Badgers return to action Wednesday when Michigan State visits.
