The Manitowoc Public School District’s Board of Education meeting on Tuesday did not go as smoothly as many would have hoped.
A series of disruptions began during the public comment session when a man attempted to get on stage with the Board members.
Michael Mealy was immediately met by Superintendent Mark Holzman, who met him at the stairs and guided him off the stage.
It could not be heard what was said between the two men.
Then, after the completion of the public comment session, a woman can be heard asking at Board Member Kerry Trask to speak up.
Holzman addressed the audience saying that if the public would not stop interrupting the meeting, they would go to a different room, and stream the meeting online.
Shortly after that, the woman again yelled for the Board to speak into their microphones, which again elicited a response from the Superintendent.
The rest of the meeting went off without any issues.
A video of the meeting can be viewed on YouTube, with the first incident occurring at around the 22:00 mark.
