Despite a career day from guard Kamari McGee, the UW Green Bay Men’s Basketball team fell to Wright State yesterday 79-62.
The Freshman from Racine St. Catherine’s scored 24 points, including two buckets from downtown, and going 4 for 5 from the free-throw line, and pulled down five rebounds to lead all scorers.
He did get help from Nate Jenkins, who scored 12 points, and Emmanuel Ansong who added 10, but a team shooting percentage of just over 42% was not enough to topple the Raiders.
This loss is the 6th in a row for the Phoenix, who look to get back on the winning track tomorrow night at home against Northern Kentucky.
The women meanwhile will look to extend their win streak to six in a row tonight as they travel to Oakland to take on the Grizzlies.
A previously scheduled contest between the Horizon League teams was deemed a no-contest after Oakland players tested positive for COVID.
