A 10-year-old child is recovering after they were hit by a vehicle yesterday afternoon.
Emergency crews were sent to the area of Ellen Lane and Old Pioneer Road at around 3:30 PM after receiving a report that a child was hit by a car.
An investigation determined that the child was walking along Old Pioneer Road when without warning the child darted into traffic.
They were struck by a vehicle being driven by a 27-year-old Fond du Lac woman, suffering only minor injuries.
While the driver was not arrested, a 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after he caused a scene and impeded an officer’s ability to aid the child.
He was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
