
A pair of second-half rallies by Marquette fell short in an 80-72 loss to UConn Tuesday night.
The Golden Eagles trailed by 10 at halftime, but cut the margin to 53-52 early in the second half – then closed to within one possession at 63-60.
Marquette had been down by double-digits.
The Eagles were led by forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper’s 18 points.
Justin Lewis had 17 while Guard Darryl Morsell had a game-high six steals.
Marquette had won three straight games on the Huskies’ home court before the loss.
