A Madison high school student has died of injuries he suffered in a skiing accident at Tyrol Basin last month.
Alex West was severely injured when he hit a pole Friday, January 28th.
He was airlifted to a hospital and died last Friday (February 4th) after he was taken off life support.
The 15-year-old was a sophomore at Madison East High School.
Interim Principal Mikki Smith says the school will have emotional support and counseling available for students today.
