A Facebook post from Wisconsin River Meats in Mauston says the old portion of the plant is a total loss.
A damaging fire ripped through the processing plant Thursday morning.
Venison customers were told their meat and orders are stored in a different building at the location and haven’t been affected.
The company is asking for patience as it sorts out the cause of the fire and transitions some of its business and invoicing to a warehouse location.
No injuries were reported and a damage estimate hasn’t been released.
