
A new program in Sheboygan is aiming to help small businesses still struggling amid the COVID pandemic.
The City’s Small Business Emergency Assistance Program is available to for-profit businesses in the city with 25 or fewer employees that have been in operation for at least six months and is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.
Applicants can receive anywhere from $2,500 to $10,000 to help with businesses expenses like payroll, rent, insurance, and the purchase of equipment to name a few.
To be eligible applicants must commit to retaining at least one full-time employee, and prove they are not receiving other assistance funded through either the ARPA, or the CARES Act.
