A music event aimed at raising money for local charities will be taking place in just a couple of days.
This will be the ninth iteration of Music is the Cure, and will be taking place at City Limits Bar and Banquet on County Highway CR in Manitowoc.
We recently spoke with Chad Hoerth, who explained that the doors open at 4:00 on Saturday and, “The music will start at 4:30 in the main bar. That will be Jeff and Shed Acoustic, and they will play for an hour. Then in the back room…we have two stages, so it’s no-stop music.”
The other featured bands are Rising Phoenix, Johnny Wad, Whiskey Ditch, Smoke Road, and Running Blind, and the music will end at midnight.
The Newton Lions are helping out in the Raffle Room, and will be using technology to their advantage.
“When you have a live music show, and people try rattling off numbers in between songs, your ears…don’t hear that anymore,” Hoerth explained. “So the way they do it is when you win, you get a text message.”
Also helping out that night will be the Two Rivers Clothing Company, which will be selling Music is the Cure merchandise.
Hoerth said that he is very excited about this year’s show because, “We’ve got a phenomenal lineup of bands, our sponsors have been amazing…the venue is always amazing, our staff is great…You can’t express into words how appreciative I am.”
SeehaferNews.com is sponsoring the event, along with Ignite Dispensary, Loud Noises Audio, Top Tier Roofing, VisitSheboygan.com, and Coldwell Banker.
