The City of Manitowoc and the Manitowoc Public School District have teamed up with Holy Family Memorial and Froedtert to offer employees healthcare options.
Several representatives from HFM, Froedtert, the School District, and the City were on hand as the ribbon was cut, officially opening the Clinic inside the local hospital’s Harbor Town Campus.
Patti Kneiser, the VP of Employer Services at Froedtert, told Seehafer News that this clinic is the perfect example of how the Froedtert and HFM collaboration serves the community.
“We are talking about school teachers…and the people that serve the city,” Kneiser said. “It’s bringing resources to where people work and live and making it accessible for them.”
Steve Little, the President of HFM, agreed with Kneiser, saying this partnership allows them to “bring a greater scope and depth of quality healthcare to this community, to ultimate try to keep all of us healthier. It’s a big deal.”
MPSD Superintendent Mark Holzman said he is excited to offer his staff the opportunity to get additional health care.
“Our staff will be able to have regular appointments,” Holzman explained. “This is a great opportunity to maintain their health while partnering with Holy Family…and the City.”
Jesse Lillibridge, the Human Resources Director for the City of Manitowoc explained that the City has had a similar arrangement since 2016 “and it has been a very popular option for them. We have had a lot of positive feedback from our employees.”
Deb Schwallie is the Clinic Provider and is actually returning to Manitowoc after working with Froedtert in Milwaukee for the last nine years.
She told us she is excited.
She recalled, “When Patti Kneiser announced the partnership and affiliation with Holy Family, I literally in the Zoom meeting raised my hand and said ‘I want to go home! Patti, keep me in mind. I wanna work up here!’ So here I am.”
