The City of Two Rivers has applied for funding through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program, and the DNR has conducted an environmental review of the project.
As we have been reporting for several weeks, the City plans on replacing numerous water mains and lead service lines throughout the City.
In their review, the DNR states that “Activities related to this project are minor…for which no environmental analysis is required; however, following the SDWLP federal requirement…an environmental review must be conducted before funding this project.”
The SDWLP has determined that the project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects, and no further environmental review or analysis is needed before proceeding with funding the project.
If the public has any concerns about the environmental impacts of the pipe replacement project, you can call 608-234-2238, or email kevin.olson@wisconsin.gov.
