After a months-long investigation, Police in Ripon have announced that a now-deceased former teacher would have faced child porn charges.
An investigation into Rick Kelm was launched in November of last year, and Kelm died by suicide in October.
During the course of the investigation, over 400 images of child pornography were found on social media accounts and cloud storage belonging to Kelm.
There is no evidence linking anyone else to these images, and no one else in the Ripon Area School District was involved, including students and staff current and past.
Since Kelm has passed, no criminal charges are being filed.
