Negotiators for the Major League Baseball Players Association have moved closer to the owners’ positions on two issues – free agency being tied to a player’s age and reducing the so-called revenue-sharing pool.
The two sides met for the second time in eight days to discuss core economic issues Tuesday.
They will resume talks today (February 2nd) in New York City.
Deadlines to assure that a normal spring training can be held are rapidly approaching.
Both sides say it appears likely that spring training will be delayed.
