The chimney in a home in Sheboygan County caught fire late last week causing significant damage.
The County’s Emergency Communications Center was informed of the fire at around 8:00 PM on Friday, and crews were dispatched to the residence on Highway V near Waldo.
The blaze originated in the chimney but had spread to the attic by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.
They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, but not before it caused severe damage to the home.
No injuries were reported.
In total, 14 fire departments responded to the call, along with multiple first responders, the Sheriff’s Department, and the County Fire Investigation Team.
