
Manitowoc Lincoln High School had 2 competitors over the weekend at the first-ever WIAA Girls State Wrestling Tournament.
According to Ships Coach Tyler Wetenkamp, Nyomi Brantley finished with a 3-and-2 record, missing a top-6 finish by one match.
Her teammate, Amellia Fowler, wound up 2-and-2 on the day at state.
Meanwhile, some JV Boys from Lincoln had outstanding finishes in weekend tournaments.
Placing first in their weight classes were: Phoenix Jonas, Evan Vogt, Sal Tello, Easton Becker, Isaac Moede, and Pedro Estrada.
Recording runner-up finishes included: Yenkou Xiong, Isaac Pionek, and Austin Kuehnel.
The Ships wrestlers have their final dual meet at home this Thursday against Sheboygan South.
