A Kenosha County judge has decided Kyle Rittenhouse gets to keep almost half of the $2 million crowd-funded bail that is to be returned.
Judge Bruce Schroeder approved two deals Friday in his courtroom – one, that the rifle Rittenhouse used to kill two protesters will be destroyed, and the other is the dispensation of the bail money.
Rittenhouse didn’t attend the hearing.
A jury acquitted him last November on four counts, including two homicides.
His criminal case is now over, but he could still face civil litigation over his actions.
