Sophomore guard Johnny Davis scored 16 points and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds as the Badgers won Sunday’s Border Battle against Minnesota 66-60.
Davis’ double-double highlighted Wisconsin’s ninth win in its last 10 games and it kept coach Greg Gard’s team tied with Illinois at the top of the Big Ten Conference standings.
The Badgers built a nine-point lead after halftime but watched Minnesota tie the score with 2:23 left at 60-apiece.
Davis scored the last six points of the game.
Tyler Wahl scored 15 and Brad Davison chipped in 14.
Wisconsin travels to Illinois Wednesday night.
