Authorities say a three-year-old boy who was severely burned in a Milwaukee fire last week has died. Gideon Simos suffered burns to 80 percent of his body.
The family says the boy’s mother nearly died getting him out of the burning home.
The parents were inside with four children when the fire started in the living room.
Fire investigators haven’t determined the official cause.
Luke and Leticia Simos got three children out, then the mother went back in to try to rescue the three-year-old.
A family member says Leticia Simos lost all of her hair and suffered serious burns and scrapes rescuing the boy.
