Both the UW Green Bay Men’s and Women’s basketball teams were in Ohio last night, and each team walked away with a different result.
The men shot under 40% and turned the ball over 13 times as they fell to Youngstown State 63-50.
Kamari McGee and Japannah Kellogg III led the Phoenix with 10 points each.
The women, meanwhile, had a much better game, as they picked up a 73-51 win over Wright State.
The win gave the Phoenix a sweep of the season series over the Raiders, outscoring them 151-118 over the two-game set.
UWGB was led last night by Appleton North graduate Sydney Levy, who exploded for 24 points, which included five threes.
Freshman Hailey Oskey was right behind her tallying 22 points while going 5 for 5 from the charity stripe.
In fact, the women only missed one free throw all night.
Both teams are back in action tomorrow, as the women will be on the road taking on Northern Kentucky.
The men will be in Pennsylvania as they take on Robert Morris University.
