The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department says a 24-year oldSheboygan man was killed and a 21-year old New Holstein woman was injured as the result of a 2-vehicle crash in the Town of Schleswig Friday morning.
According to Sheriff Dan Hartwig, a preliminary investigation shows the collision happened just after 9:45am at the intersection of State Highways 32 and 57.
The Sheboygan man was southbound on 32/57 when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a truck going northbound on 57. The male driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The young New Holstein woman who had a properly restrained infant in her vehicle was transported by ambulance for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The infant passenger appeared to be uninjured.
No names have been released and the crash remains under investigation.
