A Manitowoc man was arrested recently after it was learned that he sexually assaulted his daughter.
An anonymous doctor contacted the Manitowoc Police Department after the victim informed them of the incident.
The mother of the child (whose age was redacted from the police report) told police that her daughter informed her that on October 4th, while her mother was away on vacation, her father touched her inappropriately in the groin area.
When questioned about the situation, the 34-year-old man told police that he doesn’t remember much about that day and claimed that paranormal activity was to blame.
He claimed to be paralyzed in his bed for a period of time, and that he felt a “burning hot sensation” on his back previously.
He did not explain how paranormal activity was a factor in this situation.
The officers also contacted the victim, who no longer resides with her parents, who supplied a text from the suspect, which stated “I don’t know what got into me or why I even did it.”
The man was arrested on a charge of Incest with a Child, Sexual Intercourse, or Contact.
