One former Milwaukee Brewers star has dropped off the Hall of Fame ballot while Gary Sheffield hangs on.
Sheffield got 160 votes among the 394 ballots submitted this year.
Former Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz was the only candidate who got the required 75 percent.
Three big names fell off when they didn’t make it in their final year on the ballot – Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, and Curt Schilling.
Also falling off is former Milwaukee first baseman Prince Fielder.
The slugger who once hit 50 home runs for the Brewers received only two votes.
