Five individuals are now without a home following a fire in a multi-family house in De Pere last night.
Firefighters were called to a home on the 800 block of Ash Street at around 8:15 PM to battle a fire that appears to have started in the kitchen on the first floor.
Not only were the firefighters battling the fire, but they were also battling the cold, as the 8 degree air felt as cold as -8 due to the wind.
Several streets around the area were blocked off while crews took down the fire.
The three adults and two children who lived at the residence were able to get out, but some of them suffered some unknown injuries.
One was taken to an area hospital, but their condition is not known at this time.
The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced individuals, which consist of two families.
