The family of an Appleton man who died while in police custody in Las Vegas has reached a settlement agreement with the Department.
Sarah Grady, the attorney for 36-year-old Nicholas Farah’s family, has announced that the family has dropped their lawsuit against the Department, and all others involved, in exchange for $2.35 million.
Farah died in March 2019 after he was arrested on a trespassing charge.
He was allegedly strapped to a chair while in the custody of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and, after some other reported mistreatment, died at a hospital that night.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled the case a homicide.
