A man convicted in a 2016 homicide case is taking his appeal to the state Supreme Court.
Richard Arrington was found guilty of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide in the shooting death of Ricardo Gomez in 2016 in Green Bay but is appealing that conviction.
He claims his 6th Amendment rights were violated when a conversation between himself and someone who ended up being a confidential informant was recorded while he was in jail.
Arrington also claims he had ineffective counsel.
Arrington had his appeal approved by the court of appeals, however, the State objected, so now it is going to the Supreme Court.
They will decide on March 10th if Arrington will have another chance in court to overturn his conviction.
