Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur says the team would love for Aaron Rodgers to be a Packer until the day he decides to retire.
The coach and his starting quarterback reportedly sat down and talked for a long time Monday.
LaFleur told reports he hopes Rodgers decides to come back despite the disappointing loss to the 49ers Saturday.
Rodgers has said he will take some time to evaluate his future after being stopped short of the Super Bowl again.
He says he hopes to make a final decision before the start of the N-F-L free agency period in March.
The coach says everybody in the team’s front office is “on the same page” when it comes to wanting Rodgers back.
