A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly took off in a vehicle with a man hanging onto the hood.
Officers were dispatched to the University Heights trailer park on South 23rd Street at around 6:15 PM on Monday (January 24th).
They approached the vehicle in question and learned that the driver had a warrant out for her arrest.
When they told her she was being arrested on that warrant, she reached for the shifter in her car and attempted to flee.
An officer was able to open the door before she was able to take off, and she was placed in handcuffs.
A neighbor supplied surveillance footage which showed the 22-year-old woman approaching a residence in her vehicle, and a man coming out to talk to her.
The man then grabbed the hood of the vehicle as the woman sped off in reverse, before doing a 180, and accelerating down the road with the man still on the hood.
The woman has been charged with 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Enhancer, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
