When they moved from their small taproom on South 9th Street to their current location on Buffalo Street, the folks at PetSkull Brewing in Manitowoc said they wanted to start selling food. Now, that dream is starting to take shape.
We spoke with Paul Hoffman, the founder and owner of the local brewery, who explained that they ran three pop-up menus this week. “A pop-up menu is, this is what we have today,” Hoffman explained. “If something runs out, the next day it may be different. It’s not a full menu, it’s kind of a building up kinda thing.”
This “pop-up” style will continue for a while until Paul’s kitchen staff become comfortable with everything. Paul said they had someone quit on them late last year which set their timeline back a month or so, but now, they are fully staffed and ready to go. “We got a great staff right now,” Paul said. “Justin, our Chef is very excited…I think we are ready to go.”
That Head Chef Paul mentioned is Justin Ulness, who told Seehafer News, he is very excited to start showing Manitowoc what authentic Cajun and creole food is. “It’s been a long time coming, it’s a great opportunity, Justin said. “We are ready to feed Manitowoc, teach Manitowoc everything that is Cajun creole, and what fits PetSkull.”
Be sure to check out the PetSkull Brewing Facebook page for more information on any upcoming pop-up menus, and for when they will officially open up their kitchen full time.
