A Dane County jury took only two hours to return with a guilty verdict for 23-year-old Chandler Halderson Thursday.
He was convicted on all eight charges he faced – including two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, according to a release from the Dane County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors had told the court he killed his parents – Valders natives Bart and Krista Halderson – and dismembered their bodies.
A tentative sentencing date in mid-March has been suggested but that isn’t official yet.
Halderson’s bail was rejected by the court meaning he can’t be released before sentencing.
Prosecutors told the court Thursday they had no more witnesses to call, then the defense rested without calling witnesses.
