
Justin Lewis scored the last seven points of the ballgame as Marquette upset another ranked opponent at Villanova Wednesday night 57-54.
Lewis led all scorers with 21 points and he had seven rebounds.
Marquette trailed 54-50 when the 6′ 7″, redshirt freshman led his team in a come-from-behind effort.
Greg Elliott came off the bench to score 14 points.
Lewis and Elliott connected on nine-of-14 3-pointers combined.
Tyler Kolek had a half-dozen assists as coach Shaka Smart’s team improved its record to 13-and-6, including 5-and-3 in conference games.
The Golen Eagles winning streak has reached five Big East Conference games in a row.
Marquette’s next action comes Sunday when Xavier visits the Fiserv Forum.
