The state is expected to rest its case today (January 19th) in the Chandler Halderson homicide trial in Dane County.
Prosecutors made the announcement after seven days of testimony that was interrupted by a week-long break when the defendant tested positive for COVID-19.
It is being reported that the judge announced a juror tested positive for the virus while the proceedings were on hold.
The defense will have the chance to call witnesses next – if it chooses to do so.
Halderson is accused of killing and dismembering his parents, Valders natives Bart and Krista Halderson, last year.
