The City of Sheboygan is looking for someone to redevelop a section of the riverfront.
There are several parcels of land previously owned by JP Marine on Commerce Street which are up for grabs.
They are currently owned by the City’s Redevelopment Authority, but that group is seeking proposals to either lease or purchase three different sections of it.
The parcel located at 511 North Commerce is zoned as urban commercial, while the other two, located at 517 and 517R, are zoned urban industrial.
This redevelopment is part of the City’s larger Riverbend Neighborhood Master Plan, which also includes the installation of streetscape amenities and improved pedestrian crossings on North 14th Street, and “secure public access to and alongside the Sheboygan River”.
Those who wish to submit a proposal for the North Commerce Street properties should do so before March 10th.
