The Wisconsin men’s hockey team has apparently turned a corner.
The Badgers completed a sweep of Michigan State Saturday with a 3-2 decision at the Kohl Center.
Sophomore forward Mathieu De St. Phalle followed a two-gal effort Friday night with a power-play game-winner against the Spartans Saturday.
He leads the Badgers with seven goals.
A pair of weekend victories let Wisconsin leap-frog over Michigan State into fifth place in the conference.
The Badgers clinched the win Saturday with a pair of third-period goals.
The team travels to Penn State for a weekend series next.
The Nittany Lions are in last place, giving U-W a good chance to maintain its momentum.
