Former Manitowoc Mayor Kevin Crawford said this week that he has always held Nancy Crowley in the highest regard.
Crowley died Monday after a long life of service to the community including being the first-ever female member of the Manitowoc City Council, a deputy coroner, and leading the office of Manitowoc County Emergency Management.
During an interview, Crawford said, “She had the most professional mom look I ever ran into in my entire career. If she was agreeing with you everything was fine and dandy, but if she gave you that look you knew you were going down the wrong path. She just did everything so perfectly well for emergency management in Manitowoc County. And her service on the (city) council was outstanding I understand. We didn’t get a chance to serve together, but we did a lot of work (together) in emergency management.”
Funeral services for Nancy Crowley will be held tomorrow (Monday) morning at 11:00 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Grand.
