The man who knocked an 85-year-old woman to the ground to steal her purse in 2019 has been sentenced.
30-year-old Nathan Gay will be spending two years in prison and four years of extended supervision after being convicted of Robbery with Use of Force.
Police reports indicate that the victim was walking through a grocery store parking lot when Gay pushed her to the ground and stole her purse.
The victim told police that she only had $8 in cash in the purse.
During his sentencing hearing, Gay admitted to having a drug problem at the time and said he wanted to take steps to rehabilitate himself for his family.
