On the back of an employee shortage, two more schools in Green Bay have gone virtual.
Students at Howe Elementary and the N.E.W. School of Innovation will be learning from home until next Tuesday when they are scheduled to return to classes in person.
Green Bay Area Public School District Superintendent Stephen Murley says that he wants students to be in the classrooms as much as possible, but because of the ongoing employee shortage, it simply isn’t possible at these schools right now.
The shortage is linked to the spread of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus.
Murley also said that the District plans on keeping these and any future closures as short as possible.
