The Manitowoc Police Department called on the services of K9 Major to help them arrest a man found to be in possession of Methamphetamine.
An officer was on patrol in the 800 block of South 24th Street at around 11:30 PM last night (January 12th) when he saw a vehicle leave a residence known to be associated with dealing drugs.
The officer pulled over the vehicle when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of South 21st and Washington Streets.
The passenger was noted as acting suspicious, and gave the officer a false identity. K9 Major was called to the scene to conduct a sniff of the vehicle, which came back positive.
The passenger and a backpack he was holding were searched, which uncovered just shy of 14 grams of Methamphetamine, several items of drug paraphernalia, and a set of brass knuckles.
The 26-year-old man was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Obstructing an Officer.
