Authorities in Bayfield County are still searching for a hit-and-run snowmobile driver who veered into a sled dog team last weekend, injuring two dogs.
Ryan Redington was out with his team on the Tri-County Corridor trail Saturday at about 6:45 p-m.
He says the snowmobiler was speeding up when he ran into the dogs, then sped off.
Redington says his dogs were wearing blinking or reflective harnesses.
The wheel dog named Wildfire suffered a broken and another member of the team, Willy, suffered a bruised foreleg.
Authorities haven’t named any persons of interest.
