The trial for a man accused of killing and dismembering his parents will be delayed, but there will be no mistrial.
23-year-old Chandler Halderson has tested positive for COVID-19.
Neither the prosecution nor the defense asked for a mistrial.
Halderson’s attorneys told the judge their client had been showing symptoms last month but they had subsided.
He hasn’t been near the jury and everyone has been wearing masks.
Halderson had been fully vaccinated.
Six days of testimony have been completed, so far.
