
Two people were taken into police custody on Monday in connection to a theft from the Walmart in Manitowoc last week.
According to police reports, officers were called to the store just after 2:00 PM on January 5th, to investigate a retail theft.
The Asset Protection employee told the officers that she watched on the cameras as a man and a woman teamed up to steal three packs of baby onesies and three packs of socks, estimated to cost around $42.
The officers were able to identify the individuals and learned that they were staying at the Holiday Inn in Manitowoc.
Officers went to the hotel at around 6:30 PM yesterday (January 10th) to speak with the duo, who were both arrested.
The 37-year-old woman has been charged with Retail Theft and two counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, while the 37-year-old man was charged with Retail Theft, Possession of Fentanyl, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
