Impressive victories on number-three Purdue, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Maryland Terrapins on the road fueled the rapid upward move.
Sophomore guard Johnny Davis is getting a lot of the credit.
He was named National Player of the Week by NCAA.com.
Davis was also named co-Big Ten Player of the Week.
He averaged 27.3 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists in those three victories.
It’s no time for the Badgers to rest.
They face two Top-20 opponents – Ohio State and Michigan State – in the next three games.
