There are two meetings on the docket for today in the City of Manitowoc.
First up will be the Committee on Aging, who will gather at 1:30 PM in the Social Room of the Senior Center.
After electing a Chair and Vice-Chair, the Committee will receive updates on several items related to the Senior Center, including their fitness programs, and membership fees.
Then at 5:30 PM, the Public Safety Committee will gather in the Council Chambers.
After the public is given time to voice their comments, the Committee will receive their monthly reports from the Police and Fire Departments, and on Building Inspections.
Then, the group will discuss an issue brought forth by a citizen.
In an email to the City, the resident states that the Do Not Enter sign on the ally off of Rankin Street is 100 feet down the ally, and drivers are unable to see it until they are already in the alley.
This requires motorists to use the citizen’s driveway to turn around.
He is asking the City to move the sign closer to the entrance to the alleyway to avoid this issue.
