An Outagamie County judge has denied a Manitowoc man’s request to make a change in his legal defense team.
Matthew Beyer is facing first-degree intentional homicide charges in the deaths of his two children in Kaukauna.
He told the court he wants new representation because his attorneys didn’t tell him they were going to file a motion concerning his mental competency.
Judge Mark McGinnis denied the motion.
Beyer is accused of killing 5-year-old William and 3-year-old Danielle Meyer in February 2020.
His trial is scheduled to start in September.
